As a respected agriculture and rural leader, we would like to personally invite you to attend the 2021 Legislative Agriculture Chairs Summit – the only meeting of its kind in North America. The 2021 Summit will begin Friday, January 8 through Sunday, January 10 and be followed with workshops the first Friday of each month throughout 2021.
Because of travel restriction due to COVID-19 the 2021 Summit will be entirely virtual!
If you signed up for the January 2021 Sessions, you will automatically sent the links to attend the monthly workshops.
As legislative leaders responsible for developing and implementing the policies that address food production, natural resource management and rural development, you are well aware of the many challenges that your states and provinces face; challenges that cross state and even national boundaries.
That is where State Agriculture and Rural Leaders and the Legislative Agriculture Chairs Summit comes in. Since 2001, the LAC Summit has been providing a non-partisan unparalleled educational opportunity for elected state and provincial officials with an interest in agriculture and rural communities to work together, network, collaborate and create problem solving partnerships.
This is an invitation-only Summit, and all of your virtual expenses are covered by State Agriculture and Rural Leaders, a federal 501 c(3) non-profit.
The Summit includes an optional day of site visits of agricultural, food, fuel sites in the Charleston area (Friday), a partial day state issues (Saturday), and a business session on the third day (Sunday). The Summit will also include workshops throughout 2021 on the first Friday of each month (February through December). These workshops will include Federal and State issues that impact all States and Canadian provinces. This will allow SARL members to stay up to date on those topics that matter most to the them and the work they do every day on behalf of agriculture and rural communities.
The tours will be virtual for you as well! Attendees will be able attend virtual information sessions while having the opportunity to interact with the speakers. There will also be networking opportunities to interact with the other virtual and in person attendees, all from your home office.
